Lunch time workshops: make Wellington the Natural Capital of NZ

The Halo Project in conjunction with the Department of Conservation are running two lunch time workshops in April to equip people to make our backyards and special places predator free. There will be an introductory and advanced workshop.

Introductory Workshop – Stay tuned for rescheduled date

Description: The introductory workshop will showcase the options available to you for predator control. Traps and bait stations will be available to inspect, get comfortable with and BUY. Darren Peters from the Department of Conservation will answer questions on urban pests, their habits and the best techniques for catching them. Come along, get inspired and go away knowing what you can do to make a difference.


Advanced Workshop
Date: April 29
Time: 12- 1pm
Location: Wellington City Central Library: The Mezzanine Room

Description: The advanced workshop is for those who are interested in what is happening in the field of predator control more widely. Darren Peters from the Department of Conservation will be presenting ‘lessons from the field’, findings from the Goodnature self resetting trap trials and whats new with lures. There will be a demonstration of the new trap software “Pest Trap NZ”. Come along and meet other trappers and be re-inspired by whats happening in this field.
