Hey everyone, Ruby here. Down at Halo HQ we had a ball of a time admiring all the fantastic bird snaps we received from you guys. Then came the tricky part, judging. Lucky for us the first of our winners was chosen by you…
Andy Newman shot this stunner of a Kotuku sitting on his neighbour’s fence in Petone and said: “To me, this is what the Enhancing the Halo project is all about. If places around the Hutt Estuary can be more hospitable, maybe we will see more Kotuku.”
Thanks Andy, let’s hope that by enhancing the Halo we can encourage more of these beautiful birds into the Hutt.
Our second winner, as decided by us here at Halo HQ, is a cheeky little number shot by Elizabeth Joy Buckley Bargh.
“Looking Decidedly Cross”
You two have both won yourselves a wooden bird feeder from Backyard Birds, we will be in touch with you to get you your prizes.
Thanks again for all your efforts! Keep those pictures coming in because we’ll continue to give away great prizes just to say thanks for helping us Enhance the Halo.
